I notice something is missing from the MC - there used to be "top rated" posts & I was one of them - but its gone now.

Maybe they are looking for the best people person:cool: via top rated posts.

I can still see "top rated" on MC.

I know but it looks like they changed it, in the beginning there used to be 1 at a very top that was posted by SSM - and almost everybody replied to their question.

My question was there too & there was a chap who posted very slightly similar question to mine was the 2nd highest rate.
RIP my dear dear parent : Mum aged 62 (17/5/1990) & Dad aged 89 (23/1/2012)

Ah, I understand. They are probably moderating the previous top tips then to see who the winnner is. I hope you are lucky. You'll be able to buy your own empty ink cartridges!

    Afternoon All :hello:

Have just posted this on the ebay and paypal spoof thread, but thought some of the 'family' might not see it there ;). Will try to pop back later and catch up on posts. :)

I have had quite a few spoof emails over the years, but this one had me wondering as it had my full name and also asked me not to reply to it but to go to the help pages on the Paypal site. I was still suspicious as it asked me to click on the link, so I phoned Paypal.

I checked with Paypal and everything was fine with my account, no-one had tried to access it. They said it was a fraudulant email as, although it had my full name in it, they would NEVER put links in their emails. They asked me to forward it to the spoof dept at Paypal

Please keep a look out, as these scammers emails are becoming more realistic.

Woww, thanks for that Jonty. If I get an email like that, I normally log straight into my account and see what is going on. but like you said they had your real name..... now that is worrying....

I had a phone call yesterday for my Landlord, what was interesting is this my phone number, not my Landlord's, he had BT not virgin media. So I told them they had the wrong number :rotfl: wonder where they got his name from....

You're right Aesop, it is worrying. Before, you could
usually tell if they were spoof emails because they didn't include your name, they just said something like 'Dear PayPal member'.

There are that many people asking for personal details these days, you have to be really careful. I never give my phone number out unless I really have to and even then I might just change one of the digits - oooops typing error! ;)
