    Morning Everyone :)

Got to take DD1 back to the Orthodontist today to get her brace mended once again. It breaks so often.
They have a notice up saying they will charge £62 if it breaks more than twice but so far they haven't mentioned it. Fingers crossed.

Dr whowho, im jealous of your broadband/phone deal :(

any haggling tips? each time i call they just say "no" to me

Yes, you have to be firm - its your money at the end of the day.

    First :- Do as I did :-

Call plusnet say your best of friend "Jeff" got a better deal than what it's shown on their website.

(or if you like call SKY - find out what they can offer you - check how much you can get via cashback - use cashback as your haggling tool)

Look at my previous post. Tell them that £11 broadband is expensive also you will loose out £39 cashback if you sign up with them on the phone. See what they say. If you get the good one he/she might deduct the £39 (divided 12 months) off the broadband rental. If you are with BT then you dont have to pay installation charges.

DON'T FORGET JEFFREY as your Referral - that you can pm Jeff should you decide to sign up with Plusnet. That's the least we can do for Jeff as he posted how much he paid & we used his cost as our guide.:D

If you get exactly the same rate as me (see previous post).

That is the best part cos' if virgin won't budge, I just switch since I have a choice :-

Call virgin - press "cancel/termination" contract button (don't press for customer service).

First ask them - how long do I have to give you notice of termination?

Am sure they will said 30 days, then tell them immediately that you are giving them 30 days notice.

If they ask you why :- mention Plusnet. and away you go with your negotiation with them. See how much you are willing to pay to stay with them.

You must have somewhere to fall back if they won't budge. So be prepare to check/ do your homework with Plusnet or Sky before you call Virgin.

    Good luck x

Btw, Bunny, what's is your monthly charges with Virgin? Give us a breakdown. :)

I said thank you to you, yours made me smile, "happy to help" reminds me of Lola from Charlie and Lola, DS' favourite program.

It was MT who didn't put her name on hers. Everyone else I knew who it was!

    so thank you everyone!

off to get DS from nursery now.

Haven't eaten for 3 days, feel like pizza, am going to treat us and buy one from pizza shop.
