    So, the "feeling" is that there is possibly just a single an item on the problem receipt that it wants to genuinely price check against (it's NOT a N/A item at Morrisons that would be disregarded) and it IS on file but the price is marked "out of date" and for some reason it invalidates the entire receipt comparison for Morrisons.

    I do not think it is a single item that is causing this problem. I have had this problem of Morrison's not comparing from mid-December onwards. I think it is something to do with the Morrisons prices not being updated twice a week in the mysupermarket database.

    APG T&C states the following:

    2.2 Morrisons prices are collected instore (by an independent agency) twice a week (Monday and Wednesday), and therefore unlike Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose, are only updated twice per week. Morrisons prices are collected in stores each week around Great Britain;
    2.2.1 Prices are taken from the shelf price label for each product in Morrisons; If any product is sold out, then we'll still use the shelf price label. If however a product has a price marked on it, then the lowest price will be used for the comparison.
    2.2.2 mySupermarket have audited the Morrisons collection process, and will only include comparisons that they are confident are accurate.
    2.3 Where prices are found to be different across stores (in the case of Morrisons) or across website postcodes sampled (in the case of Tesco, Sainsbury's and Waitrose), the most commonly occurring price is used.

    May be the independent agency is still on Christmas holidays. :eek:
    Mortgage: @ Feb. 2007: £133,200; Apr. 2011: £24,373; May 2011: £175,999; Jun 2013: ~£97K; Mar. 2014 £392,212.73; Dec. 2015: £327,051.77; Mar. 2016: ~£480K; Mar. 2017 £444,445.74

    I do not think it is a single item that is causing this problem. I have had this problem of Morrison's not comparing from mid-December onwards. I think it is something to do with the Morrisons prices not being updated twice a week in the mysupermarket database.

    .................................

    May be the independent agency is still on Christmas holidays. :eek:

    I'm aware of the APG T&Cs and how the Morrisons data is collected but as I previously posted, I have checked 2 receipts for the SAME DATE (29/12) from the SAME STORE, the one I checked on 30/12 came up Morrisons N/A* .... so I left the other one a few days, did it on 2/1/12 and it is OK

    And as pointed out by 2 of the ASDA techies I spoke to at HQ, this is something they are/were not aware of as being a problem and given that literally tens of thousands of receipts are checked everyday and that in the two 5 minute periods either side of the moment I checked mine (that came up N/A*) on 30th Dec, if it was the database potentially hundreds and hundreds of others would have done exactly the same causing a "flood" of calls to CS which just never happened.

    So the idea that the Morrisons comparison doesn't happen because the entire database is out of date doesn't make sense given the relative infrequency that it occurs, and it's far more likely to be caused by an individual item (or 2) on the specific receipts that it can't process successfully.

    Perhaps your comment "I have had this problem of Morrison's not comparing from mid-December onwards" might actually prove this .... are these "your shops" ? (Or wombles?)

    If "yours" then maybe you've bought the same something on each occasion that's scuppered the APG check but sometimes you didn't - do you still have them ? Can you find an item that's on all the failed ones but never on a successful one ?
