Afternoon all. Fingers are being kept crossed that February will be a good OP month. I now have 6 tutees per week, which is a bit more than I originally wanted, but I think it'll be manageable. One is probably only until her March exam anyway. I also have three sessions already booked for half term, one student is having an extra session on top of his usual. I need to speak to the rest of my tutees this week but I think I'll almost have a 'full' week which is great!

No snow in our neck of the wood, which is disappointing in one way as the kids would love to play out in it. But it does mean that I wouldn't have any worries about having to cancel tutoring sessions due to road conditions.

One of our favourite playgroups has started up again - on a different day to normal but it has lots of activities for both children and they get a snack. All free! This morning they spent most of their time climbing on the climbing frame (DD is only 14 months but thinks she's the same age as her brother so I've had to help her follow him all across the top of the frame.) and played with a pretend fruit and veg shop, which has given me a nice idea for something to play at home.

I've also got quite a few old clothes hanging around which aren't good enough to give to a charity shop, so I might have a look on Pinterest to see if there's anything useful I can make from them.

All these plans! Now I just need a few extra hours in the day!

Well done on your first OP. I'm sure with all the extra tutoring you'll have no problems reaching your target. I've heard a few people mention Pinterest lately, it seems popular!

It's addictive! It took me a while to get into it, but once I got the hang of pinning and searching out the things I was interested in, I was hooked. There are so many lovely crafts and ideas on there. If you want to join, let me know, I believe if I send you an invitation it's quicker.

Hi all. It's been a good week here tutoring wise, I've had 6 hours and all money gone straight into the bank! :j And I have 6 hours again over half term. Normally the holidays are quiet, but I've only had one student cancel and another wants an extra session as he has exams coming up. I've been able to rearrange them for the daytime as well, since OH is on half term too so that's great. On my way to this month's target!

I have not stuck to my resolution not to buy any wool this year - I finally caved in when I bought some wool for a baby blanket for BIL and SIL who are expecting in June. In my defence, it's their present, we would have spent the money on something else anyway. But now I've bought it, I can see lots more yarn that I could use ... I'm trying to be good!

This week is definately potty training week for DS, we've made the mistake of putting him in pull ups which hasn't really worked very well. So, from Wednesday, it's proper pants. Gulp! At least we have laminate flooring! :rotfl:I'm looking forward to saving money on pull ups and nappies.

I've sold a couple of books on Amazon this week. Both were parenting books and went within minutes, so I'm going to see if I can dig any more out this week, I have three already.

Hope everyone is having a good week.

Hi all, had a good half term tutoring wise, with 6 hours still, instead of the usual drop off. But the big money saving news is that DS did very well with potty training and is pretty much dry now! We are so proud of him, and he is chuffed to bits. He particularly likes his special travel potty for the park!

Hope everyone is having a good weekend x

Well done with the potty training. When potty training DS1 I remember taking a potty to the park too :rotfl:. Will be doing it all again when DS2 is older.

Made an OP of £130 today! Not quite my target for the month but had to pay dentist bill. Still, I'm very pleased with that, I had a lot of tutoring this month so it's paying off. I have 6 hours a week for the next two weeks at least, then it drops off for a bit.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

I haven't updated for a while! Made an overpayment of £120 today, making me bang on track with my target. I haven't had quite so much tutoring this month, as two of my students took modular exams, but I had a TopCashBack payment of £90, which I had been waiting on for a year. So that topped the payments up.

I hope everyone is doing well x

Yes, it was for my O2 contract, I found they were quite slow last time I changed phone but I got the payments in the end. It came in very useful.
