Just stumbled across the Kenwood Mini Chopper in black, 50% off at Argos. Out of stock for home delivery, but seemed to be quite a few available to reserve in store. I've already got one myself, this is the cheapest I've seen........... cat no 423/9437. Hope it helps someone!
Can't post the link as I'm new, but search for the catalogue number or the description - Kenwood Compact Black Mini Chopper.

Can you chop things like raw carrots and swede in these? I'd like one but need it to be able to do hsrd veg as well as soft. Thanks in advance.0

I use it for most things - originally bought it to chop garlic/chillies etc, but when I'm feeling too lazy to get the big food processor out of the cupboard (most of the time!). Only downside is that it is small, so you would have to do multiple batches depending on the quantities you need - and the button is a pulse button, you can't switch it on and leave it.
I love it because it takes up very little worktop space, and is sitting there ready to go.0 -
Thanks op, just reserved one at my local store - can it be used for chopping tomotos etc for soup?0
-
Thanks OP - I have just read the reviews and it looks good. Some guy on there has been using it to chop his bait for fishing, and doesn't want his wife to find out!! We won't tell, will we?

Yeah, tomatoes would be fine - I've used it for chickpeas, ryvita, all sorts - not fishing bait though!0

HAPPY NEW YEAR ALL!!!! Hoping 2012 is a great money saving year for all.
Thanks for this SWKirsty.
I have reserved 2 at my local store; my 8 week old spends a lot of time on me in the baby carrier and it's really difficult to prepare and make lunch and dinner so with this and the slow cooker I bought earlier last year (now), my toddlers shouldn't starve
My sister has arthritis and always cuts herself when chopping things so I am going to buy the other one for her.

Thank OP, have reserved the last one at the nearest store to me. Have been thinking about one of these for a while. I have a Braun handblender which also has a chopping bowl, and it's good but not brilliant; the blender stick is used all the time anyway so it won't be wasted.
It will also get me out of the house tomorrow going to collect it:T0 -
Hi anyone know if argos is open today?0
