Help! Vodkha all over the LL french polished drinks cabinet!

We live in a rented house with some very posh french polished furniture.
This morning the shelf in a drinks cabinet gave way, smashing a bottle of vodkha tha poured all down the wood. We were at home and cleaned it up right away, but where the vodkha has been has left a white mark, to be honest it looks awful!
Is there anything we can do or should it be left to the professionals?

No buying unnecessary toiletries 2014. Epiphany on 4/4/14 - went into shop to buy 2 items, walked out with 17!

Hi, I am sure I have read on here that you can use a damp towel and a warm iron which should get the marks out but I am sure someone will be along who is a lot more knowledgeable than me
