Hi everyone,
I saw in another thread that you can open multiple savings accounts with Halifax online (I can't seem to find the thread though).
So what I was wondering was if it is possible to set up a few online savings accounts. As I am looking to save for different things, christmas, emergancy, car, etc...
Many thanks in advance and Happy New Year to everyone

Hi,
I bank with Halif8x and do have a number of online savings accounts with them - Rainy Day, Car, Virtual Savings Pot, Open University, Christmas & just thinking about another for putting insurance money in eg home and car so I can pay in lump sum next year.
They were really quick and easy to set up, but on the downside they give you hardly any interest at all, so there are more economical places to save your pennies.
For me the convenience outweighs loss of interest though.

I have several Halifax online savers offering 2.8% for 12 months.
There is a limit to how many you can have - about 6 I think.0 -
Thanks everyone for the replies

rising from the ashes we bank with Halifax, well OH does and I bank with the COOP. But I prefer Halifax online banking.
We already have one online savings account set up, so shall go off and open a few more.
I want to in the very near future set up a long term savings account, these are just essential savings accounts which I shall be dipping in and out of.January GC £33/200

Something a lot of them also do is a monthly saver account for 12 months. You can start off with a smallish amount of money but (certainly the one I've got), you can increase the monthly payment if you want to.
I must say ..... for a complete novice at budgeting (hanging head..... with pink cheeks - I am not a "spring chicken" by any means), the pots have been fantastic!Grocery Challenge £211/£455 (01/01-31/03)

Seems strange saving for xmas 2012 already when 2011 isn't even over yet. But I will be very happy come next year when the pennies are all there ready
