If you feel the need to give opinions where none are sought, wasting your time and mine, well I don't have an appropriate response. 'Mind your own business' springs to mind, though.

Again, I was looking for others' opinions/anecdotes on this company; insinuations about my worthiness or credibility were not.

No need to respond further, however thanks for taking the time to do so earlier.

So, what are you saying? xx

In future maybe some forward planning would be of use, you know when the mot and insurance is due so put a set amount away each month plus a bit extra to cover any extra costs when the mot is done.

    What about your bank ?
  • Im sorry the resopnses have not been what you wanted to hear its just that a lot of folk on here have had such bad experiences borrowing money this way.
I actually think you are going to get this loan as a payday ;loan regardless of what advice you get on here as your mind is already made up, just please make sure you can pay it back on the date or the charges and interest is blooming horrendus.
I would personally look at credit unions or even a credit card before these loans as it it such a huge amount of interest, is there really no one that can loan you this money, friends, family, can you sell anything to pay for it???
I hope you find a solution, and dont need this loan.
But in answer to your question, all of these companys are much the same, however, i would go with one of the more popular ones as they are a more established company and will be easier to deal with if you have any problems etc.

I wouldn't advise PDLs; it's a slippery slope... However, if you feel you have no other option, QuickQuid aren't TOO bad. Well, OK, they're all fairly grotty, but I've used QuickQuid in the past in dire circumstances and they're probably the best of a bad bunch.

    Good luck OP. x

Why are you beligerantly wandering into this crisis with a completely unknown company?

Why (if you really MUST use a PDL company) aren't you sticking to the normal gang of Wonga, Quidquick, PaydayUK etc?

You already have doubts about them, I'm struggling to grasp your thought train which keeps you interested in them.

Please can I suggest you only get 6 months car tax just this time so that the two expenses don't coincide?

I know its slightly more expensive to get 6 months car tax but I also know that for many, one big bill (an MOT) is doable but two together are just that bit too much. Also, MOT's are such an unpredictable cost (the works that need doing I mean not the actual MOT fee).

Whilst this is true, it's not usually because they borrowed money from these companies and paid it back as per their agreement. I think you'll find that the exasperation expressed in some posts is because almost without exception those people posting to seek advice about these creditors are those people who didn't pay their loans as they'd agreed. If you spend someone elses money (credit) knowing full well you can't afford it or pay it back, why on earth should people be sympathetic to you? (That's a general you not you personally Sugar).

Good luck in what you decide and if you are absolutely intent on getting a PDL, please pay it back as per your agreement.

Agree with Apples if you really need a PDL then go with Quickquid, Wonga, Payday UK well known companies.

Obviously no payday loan is the best option, but if you have to then no point in wasting time going for one which appears dodgy.

I think the points being made about Xmas and MOT's, is that these are events which can be planned for, because they happen every year, not like a boiler exploding or a washing machine breaking down.

I guess you probably won't stick around the forums long, but the debt free wanabee boards are great. They are not only great for helping/supporting people, but also it's good to be able to join challenges and make goals with others to save for things such as Christmas and MOT's.

It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.
