Hi Ninno,
Sorry to hear ebay didn't go so well. Stick with it though
I must have wasted so much in the past on food. Its funny how your habits change though. I found a packet of sliced turkey breast for sandwiches in the back of the fridge that had gone out of date and I dind't see it was there. I think it was £2.00 I was FURIOUS  with myself

I know what you mean - if you added up all the money that we waste by not using what we buy it would sacre us silly!
My fridge is now well lit - and empty! My payday is the 23rd and there is milk, two leeks, 3 yoghurts and some margarine that I only use when I bake. Its quit a liberating feeling actually.44 day challenge

:TWell - we are close to a pay day update. Over the past three weeks I knocked an amazing £793.34 off my debt through a mixture of super scrimping on the food/ tolietries / entertainment budget, banned usage of credit cards which has stopped the increase in its tracks, and a small amount of fund raising with ebay. Any proceeds from ebay are going directly to pay a single credit card bill off - aiming to pay it off this year - and the funds are starting to creep up. To date I have raised just under £10 yet have an item on sale at the moment which has reached the bidding of £29.99 so I am beginning to get a lot more hopeful.
My target for Feb 23rd (next pay day) is to stick to my £100 food etc budget, to raise £100 through ebay and to knock my overall debt to below £62000. There are some pitfalls ahead - my dog needs their booster injection and the car needs a service - but I feel really empowered now.:j44 day challenge

Wow! Your doing amazingly!! I hope you feel proud!
I'm undertaking a similar challenge this month on my food budget and I've only spent £45 this month so far and hoping to manage one more shop only! I did a fab soup the other day which gave me four portions. Butternut squash in my slow cooker. I cut up my squash, couple of caramelised onions, veg stock, couple of garlic cloves and a sweet potato with a sprinkle of ground cumin ........Under £3 worth of ingredients and it freezes well!
I eat it with a slice of irish soda bread which is a little expensive but tasty and worth it!
Keep up the great work!0 -

Brilliant - well done. I love soups at this time of year - so tasty and filling - yet cheap!
Thanks for the support.44 day challenge

I delayed my food shop today (having a pizza from the freezer tonight) and I really have used up most things (all my frozen homemade soups and currys! and just run out of milk) so on Sunday I'll be doing a shop to last me until the end of the month - aiming for less than £35. Woohoo! [Thanks for your support too!]0

Wow - £35 is fab! I went to the Sm today and stocked up for the month (will need fresh fruit and veg in a couple of weeks) and managed to get through nearly £70. Mind you that's the first time I've been to the sm properly since before christmas and it does include 4 large jars of coffee because they were on offer.
Have spent the last hour or so ebay listing - some running now and some designed to finish next week. I ahve 5 people watching a brand new and expensive handbag which finishes tomorrow evening but no one is breaking cover - oooh the tension.
If nothing else this is making me appreciate what rubbish I bought to get myself in this mess and how expensive that rubbish was!
My method is to list, relist and then, if it doesn't sell, put it in a box for a table top sale at easter (warmer than a car boot!)
Have a great week - off now to look at my whoopsied ham hock and make some soup for the forthcoming week.44 day challenge

Fingers crossed on ebay. I am considering popping a couple of collection only bits as its free listing today and tomorrow. I did my shop, £38! But that included a hand blender at £4.13 for my mum and £4.58 for hair conditioner!! (Since when did that get so bloody expensive?!) I've had short hair for 3 years but its got longer now! lol0

I have been sucked into buying posh shampo and conditioner (don't even ask!!) but am in the process of using every drop up before moving to a cheaper version. The hair cut and colour, plus product, can easily top £100!!!! Not any more.44 day challenge
