Returning Things to Midland Coop

Does anyone have experience of returning things to the Midland Cooperative Food Stores?
I bought something which on testing is clearly not fit for purpose. But, I bought it while visiting another town, and it would be extremely inconvenient to have to return it to the original store.
I've emailed them to ask if I can return it to my local store, but I notice that their customer services only work Monday to Friday. With it being New Year soon, I guess I won't get an answer until Tuesday at the earliest.
So, while I'm waiting, does anyone have any experience of returning things to the Coop?
