    Afternoon all!

I pop into town during my lunch, come back and the thread's gone knicker-mad:eek:

camuk - think it's definitely time to buy a new drier rather than throwing money at an old one which will prob cost more in the long run.

No weight loss to report this week:( but DD for my loan goes out on Wed so more debtbusting to come:)

PS do these men pay more for plus-sized knickers? Maybe I should get in on the act;)

Back to the original question, what do you reckon the dryer. Go for another fix or finally listen to what everyone has told me that my dryer is rubbish! Even by the two repairmen who came a year ago!
You can get heated clothes airers for about £30, not sure if that's any help but might make do in the meantime if you need to save up for a new one. I'd be weighing up how much it's cost me vs how much a new one is. If I'd paid 50% of the cost of a new one, I'd be going for a new dryer by now. If I'd paid 20% I'd be thinking about saving for a new one and maybe going for one last fix.

Wow, your electricity bill must be huge! It might be cheaper then to get a new one with warranty and a really good energy saving rate. It'll be an outlay of cash now but you could still get good deals and it will work out cheaper in the long run than throwing good cash away. Maybe look at buying one through a cashback site too to get the best deal...? You could also purchase using a Tesco Clubcard credit card if you have one so you get loads of points too! xxx

I'm thinking it may be a new one, got a few more tricks to see if it has gone, i.e. the reset button which a two person job to get to tonight! However having saved the £170 from the holiday means its a lot less to pay out!
