Cheap sofa?

Hi forumites,

My other half is looking to set up a gaming room, but he's on a pretty tight budget. He's got the essentials (the TV and the xbox!) but I need to find him a 2 or 3 seater sofa and, if possible, a small table or footstool. He's a student, so there's not much cash to splash - any idea where we can pick up a cheap sofa?

I'd go on freecycle and request one, if you are worried about the quality then ask the person offering to send photos. You would not believe how many people update them and offer perfectly good ones because they cant be bothered to drive them to the tip! We got a habitat one this way. Then get a throw for £10 (there are some in matalan sale) if the style of the sofa is not one he likes. Or charity shops? hth

Hi, used www.sofasofa.co.uk several times over the years and you can usually get a reasonable 3 seater for under £300- the Manhattan is currently £224. ( last year I got 2 x 3 seaters for £460.....I don't like buying 2nd hand !! ).
