Oooh everyone is doing so well (unlike me!) I have finally finished my Uni assignment and submitted it today, which meant everything else has ground to a halt while I wrestled with my word count and sentence structures!

I have got a few things out of the house, given away a large chocolate bar and a couple of left over puddings from Christmas. Sister came round yesterday and asked to borrow some socks as hers were wet, counting them as decluttered as she won't remember to give them back!

I've had so many things come into the house over the last couple of weeks, mainly clothes/accessories/make up as attending other sister's wedding on Saturday, so will try and get back on the decluttering wagon on Sunday. I have 40 items listed on Ebay, and quite a few have watchers, so hoping some will sell on Sunday.

I don’t normally do much during the week but son’s television has just come back from repair so tidied and cleaned that corner of his bedroom before putting it back.

33 - 2 empty deodorant cans (recycle bin)
34 - 2 old practice exam papers (recycle bin)
35 - Lots of scrap paper (recycle bin)
    36 - 1 broken xbox headset (bin)

Getting geared up for the weekend to tackle the dreaded videos!

Callisto, we're all fits and starts. And you can't neglect your studies, how ever much you'd like to declutter! Well done for getting your work done despite the temptation!

This statement made me laugh. Not seen anyone mention giving away chocolate!!!!!!!:rotfl:
  • Finally got to remove the bags of stuff I've been collecting...

    1 bag to Homeless hostel
1 bag to charity clothes bank at work
1 bundle of magazines to friend
1 bag of clothes to niece

Hoping to find more things to get rid of this weekend! :D

Wow mahhosive thread! Well done everyone!

I've been a bit slow over the last few days - the work that has landed on my desk has been unreal (and I have the sort of job that follows you home *sigh*)

    32. 2 computer games sold on ebay and posted :)
    33. Glass bottles taken to work
    34. Box of tea taken to work
    35. Plastic outflow parts from old toilet discarded and hole in wall plastered :)

I have just sold some other big things on ebay, but I will mark it collected when it has left the building. Amazon trade in will take a couple of my textbooks too - the others I'll stick on ebay, but not today.

Wow there's been lots of decluttering going on the last couple of days, and as someone else said earlier, every little helps, so even if it's just one item a day it all adds up to a clearer house :)

One ebay parcel posted, another item selling and finishing tomorrow :)
DDs' friend came to play after school and they decided to give her about 10 little bits (e.g. half used lip gloss ehh) which she gratefully accepted lol.
DD2 choose 2 babies to sell (she still has 11 left!!), as well as 3 other little bits from the playroom drawers.
Managed to sneak a couple of half complete McD's toys to the recycling bin lol. Heaven knows how long they've been there as McD's is a rare treat.
4 items of kids clothing being collected tomorrow morning via facebook group
    Junk mail recycled straight away

  • Don't be so hard on yourself :) You are doing a fantastic job and you have your priorities right - life is too short and time is too precious to worry about having a tidy home.

It probably doesn't seem like it now but your little ones will be at school before you know it and that will free up oodles of time to do the dusting :)

Make the most of the time you have with them now to make many happy memories together - life is not a rehearsal!

When your children are old and looking back on their lives, they will remember that their childhood home was filled with love, Mum always had time for a cuddle and a second bedtime story - they'll not remember that the paintwork was washed every week, the floor was spotless or the bedsheets were neatly ironed :)

Good enough is good enough :T

I wouldn't have had anything to report if I didn't include the chocolate, it's helped me as I want to get back to eating healthily. :) Also want to get everything out of the pantry next week, wipe down the shelves, check for lurking food that needs using and rearrange everything nicely as it makes me happy surveying a tidy pantry!
