32" tv

Have been looking for 32" TV and have reserved this one:

It's a Hitachi L32HK04 32 Inch HD Ready Digital Freeview LCD TV for £199.99.

Good deal or not?

There is a Samsung one that size for £250. Is it worth paying £50 more for a Samsung?

Sorry but it's not a genuine Hitachi. It's a rebranded Vestel 'supermarket' tv.

Hitachi have licensed their brand name to Argos in the UK. Hitachi have no involvement in the design of manufacture of Hitachi branded TVs in the UK.

This Vestel PVR site mentions Hitachi as one of the brands that Vestel brands PVRs as. It also mentions Sharp. http://www.vestelpvr.futaura.co.uk/

Are Sharp televisions in the UK also manufactured by Vestel?

Edit: Yes, it appears that many Sharp TVs are made in Turkey by Vestel. http://www.flatpanelshd.com/flatforums/viewtopic.php?p=6127 And a Toshiba range as well.
