And, reading your location info, you've got yourself a "brand new park home in Derbyshire"?

    Hmmm!

    :)

yep for only 60% of the asking price and its brand new,we also paid off our mortgage and all our debts in the process,so a win win situation

woodbine,,looks like the newbies are chasing you out of town..:D:D
    be nice to them..:T:T
It is nice to see the value of your house going up'' Why ?
Unless you are planning to sell up and not live anywhere, I can;t see the advantage.
If you are planning to upsize the new house will cost more.
If you are planning to downsize your new house will cost more than it should
If you are trying to buy your first house its almost impossible.

    They are charging 54.87% APR.

Anyone challenged enough to agree to that wouldn't give a hoot is the interest is on the borrowed money including the deposit.
    It's a pointless question.

If you are considering agreeing to that, you have money to burn and are far more wealthy than everyone else on this board put together.

    Serious question for you:

WHY are you concerned about interest being added to £275 when you are happy enough to pay over 54% on £528?

    thanks for sensible reply

if you use the 12% interest rate total interest is equivalent to whole amount
i.e 12% of 803 is 102 figures approx they then add two figures together then remove the deposit and divide final figure into 9 monthly payments (sorry not ten as i previously stated) this according to them equates to 54%apr
    if they added premium after deposit i.e 528 plus 12 % = 568 9 payments of 63 saving approx 63 in interest total payable £568 + £275 = £843

using original close premium method total payable = £905

postcode is probably one of the factors

Bolton is known as one of the scam insurance hot spots in the country

    Thanks for reply

they are not charging me interest on deposit any more as i didn't agree to finance

by the way for people who keep saying they cant believe i am paying 54% i am not and wouldnt have been anyway the interest rate was around 12% it is the way apr is calculated that makes it seem expensive
payday loans are a good example of this quoting 2000plus aprs however you are not paying that amount only if it becomes a loan for a yr with all charges etc taken into account

Your posts almost make me think you "happy and peaceful new year" wishes are sarcastic.
