Is it sad that my ambition is to one day buy a 12 months car tax disc instead of always just getting 6 monthersSnap! The council tax free months will pay for my road tax and MOT

? I even look at friends' tax discs, and if it's a 12 month one I inwardly note that they must be doing OK!

Well that didnt take long ....and you beat me Mrs H ! :j
£78,000 credit limits, but I also had the dubious pleasure of having a credit card with NO LIMIT ! Thats what we lived on when cashflow was tight or to pay THEM . The only rule being that it was paid off in full each month. I could spent up to about £15,000 a month if I wished but if I wanted more I needed to ask first ! Crazy ! all in all a case of robbing Peter to pay Paul .
In additional £25,000 of overdrafts and the mortgage from hell !
How are we still sane - ish ??? Infact I'm probably not !
Infact I am going to repost this on my own diary, for my own benefit really just to remind myself what a muddle it all was and how far we have come x

Scary big numbers! I make just the minimum repayments on some of my cards, but they STILL regularly send me letters increasing my limit. Like £108,630 of credit might not be enough :rotfl:.LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

Recently my credit card that I still owe about £9k on had it's limit increased from 10k to 12k. I haven't used it for years and make minimum payments [targeting another card] Before I realised the debt I was in, I'd have gone and blown that extra £2k in less than a week
