    Hello Happy Now

for the past few days I have read through your entire diary. You really are inspirational. I cried when you lost your pets, I love animals myself and to lose them is devestating.

I will keep reading your diary it's great to see how far you have come xx

Can't just read and run. Happy, if I had a magic wand I'd wave it over your life so that you had enough time, enough knowledge and enough money. I don't know anyone who's is as good as you to everyone around them, or who does so much and so cheerfully. (((Hugs))) for you, together with *coping vibes* to get you through this incredibly busy time.

And the cold's much better today, thank you. Probably means I should do a bit of housework .... Best not over-exert myself while I'm convalescing, actually. On second thoughts, I'd better leave it until tomorrow.
    Better is good enough.

:hello: HappyNow, lovely to hear from you although sorry to hear about your neighbour and all the additional work it has left you with and trying to sort out a house move for your parents at the same time, I don't know how you do it! More coping vibes coming your way from me!

Thankfully my anxiety has subsided again, it tends to flare up when I am unwell and/or feeling overwhelmed but it is soooo much better than it was a few years ago. Master H is correct, it can be very exhausting over-analysing everything you do and it can also be exhausting for the people around you. Thankfully, my OH has always been very understanding although I am still very glad that I sought help when I did as it was a lot to put on him and it put his life on hold as well as mine. Things are really good now in comparison and I am never going back there :)!

    Hello

I have news. I've kind of thought this news was coming for a good while, but it's now definite so I can plaster it all over the internet! It's one of the reasons I've not felt able to post much recently - I would have had to lie by omission or talk about things that seemed disrespectful and untimely.

It's bitter-sweet. My elderly neighbour who passed away recently has left us with more than the lovely Donkey Dog. It turns out Mr H and I are sole beneficiaries in his will. That means we have inherited his house and some money. Enough money to clear all our debts and still have a couple of thousand pounds left over.

So when probate is through we will own the entire farm (it's currently one big old house, split into two semis - we own half and he owned the other half), 13 acres of land AND have the potential to be debt free. What a gob-smacking thought. His house is VERY dilapidated - I've mentioned before he was a hoarder - but so lovely......

We haven't decided what to do yet (keep it, sell it, live in it, convert it to a holiday let) and our brains are only just taking it all in. But wow. Who'd have thought it??
LBM Dec 2011. Aimed, but failed, to clear all unsecured debt by Feb 2019. Finally free of unsecured debt 21st May 21!

    Debt Dec 11: Unsecured £69,579 + Mortgage £59,948 = £129,527
Debt May 21: Unsecured ZERO! ZILCH! Mortgage £22,332

That's amazing news HappyNow - I'm so happy for you. I hope that doesn't sound disrespectful as, of course, its terribly sad that your neighbour passed away but what a lovely thing that he did for you - you must have meant a great deal to him.
I am literally breathing a sigh of relief for you to be debt-free after all your hard work, and everything that was chucked at you alongside.

You deserve something unexpectedly lovely after everything - truly thrilled for you x

    Hi Happy
Wow, what a happy sad moment. Such a shame your neighbour passed away but what an awesome gift he has given you. You could even move your parents in next door....... or maybe not depending on how well you get on with them.

good luck with sorting it all out

Hi Happy been reading since day one .Totally understand the guilt inheritance is not a nice way to receive money . But just look at how much you have paid off in the last 5 years .I don't think you are going to squander the money now ! Good Luck

Wow that is huge news Happy! It's not always the case, but it is nice to know this time a good thing happened to a good person. It must feel a bit confusing being sad about his passing and yet excited about what he has left for you. After everything you have learnt trying to get debt free, you know you will make the most of this opportunity.

I'm really happy for you that something good has come out of something sad!
