But like it or lump it, London prices have RISEN - unlike properties up north - where you live.
I don't live up north, I live down south, and despite having just bought a house I do not want house prices to rise, I would prefer them to carry on falling.
Anyway, seen as how you didn't post a link (as I expected), the November Land Registry reports a 1.4% annual rise in House Prices in London. I get twice that in my online savings account with the Halifax.0 -
Changes in Housing benefits and general downturn will start to effect even London.
Less demand from rich foreign buyers and BIG cuts in HB will start to reduce demand for big houses
But we shall wait and see
It all got postponed last time they tried to bring in the cuts, yes lets wait and see.Big deflation your debts are going up against everything else. I would not like to be a property owner with a big mortgage right now, pay off your debts ASAP!0 -

why do you want prices to fall. That would make it difficult you to ever sell.
Ideally I want the prices to drop slightly but increase at the rate of inflation. But in.reality thats not going to happenDebt free since birth, although planning to buy my first home in 2012 so bring on the debt!!0 -
