Why should I be worried about my future career because of their mistake - isn't that what makes bad bosses worse, by not standing up for yourself?
You may get your complaint upheld and your pay backdated, but they may then "black mark" you, which could see you being mysteriously declined for future pay rises, promotions, preferred holiday dates etc...
You won't be able to prove it...
Management often like the kiss ar*e ,do as they're told and don't cause trouble type. I have learned that the hard way.
