  • It can be anyone they put the job out to various companies, a company called countrywide I'm led to believe take alot of the all the banks valuations on. They took mine on a few months ago and my cousins who is with another bank and my brother who is with another bank aswell.

Depends on your locality. Esurv are one of the largest chains in the country. So there's a high chance it may be them.
  • Thanks Thomas. The reason I ask is because a friend of mine had a valuation done by esurv through woolwich which was 15% below the asking. He's thinking of going for a mortgage with santander and hope their valuation will be the same so he can put pressure on the seller to reduce the price. I wasnt sure if that was a good idea :s

What's the likelihood of the seller dropping the price by 15%?

Are there reasons for the lower valuation?
  • Its a shared ownership! So not sure what the odds are.

The surveyor stated that he felt the seller price was excessive due to the location and felt that resell would be tough. otherwise he was happy with the property it self

Thanks Shield..i guess thats the concern that if it's esurv again I'm sure they'd use the woolwich valuation they did.
