Which Union to join?

My husband works for a large, international, privately owned (I think!). He is a Data Centre Engineer.
I am getting bad vibes from some things that have happened to him over the last 6 months or so, and getting bad vibes from some things he's been telling me today.
I feel he really ought to be in a union, as I suspect he will be needing some representation before too much longer.
But which one to join? Is there an "IT" union? Or an "office workers" union? How do you decide which one is best?

It doesn't matter - and employer cannot refuse any union representative from a union to which he belongs. But if there is a recognised union then they would have better knowldege of the employer and the workplace, which can be an advantage.0 -
Thank you - will browse the list in the link given by k66yla.0
