I take it you have done your own hpi check or seen a copy of this hpi check ? well you ought to get onto renault and ask them what they're palying at.

I doubt there'll be much issue if it was bought outright from a franchised dealer. Probably an administrative error on the finance company who did not clear the "finance outstanding" flag when it was sold back to the dealer by the original owner.

Agree with that, I thought the point of buying from a dealer covers you for HPI - I'm sure once you alert the Renault dealership - this will be resolved. Let us know!

If it was a cash sale no problem
Don't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.

Have you seen a copy of the HPi? I'd ask to see it before you blast Renault ;)

Not true. If there is outstanding Finance from a previous owner, there IS a problem.

True, but one that should be fairly straight forwards to fix :)

  • Went to renault this morning , let the mrs dad do the blabbing basically they had obviously sorted the finance end of it but whoever admined it didnt bother to remove Marker from experian (where HPI check info is held) we got a letter from renault as proof to a buyer that it was clear but by the time i got home the HPI database had updated and showed clear
