I've had loads of work done in the past two years, and don't regret any of it. The difference of having a lovely smile has added so much not only to my appearance but also to my general confidence. I'm also Scottish, and not wanting to transfer any blame as it's all my own negligence, had typical Lanarkshire teeth.

What people have said here is spot on. First thing is oral hygiene... if you don't prioritise that it's all a waste of money. Second is having a brilliant dentist and i'd be happy to recommend mine. I now live in London but make the journey to Hamilton because he is great. I paid for all the work over two years interest free.

It's not until I had the first bit of work done I realised how little I actually smiled and laughed! I was so self conscious about a mouth full of metal and discoloured teeth. People do comment on how happier, more relaxed, and warm I am compared to before.

Oddly , people close to me say they see a difference in me but hardly see a difference in my teeth and I'm happy with that. I never wanted to be Donny Osmond, I just wanted to be me with better teeth and I think that's what I got.

PS - when I was at Uni - a million years ago - it was the dentists and the architects who worked the hardest! lawyers, medics, arts students party partied.
