Okey dokey! OPs choice at the end of the day! Just seems an odd way to do it to me but each to their own.

Fair do's. It would be a very good idea to block the user if you haven't already to avoid any retaliation on their part.

its a good way to lose near £40 in fee's, at no cost or loss to the buyer
  • this is a comon problem there are 2 ways to avoid paying the £40 fees.

List the items as more then 1, then when it sells it will go 1 less, and you can also increase it.

The other main thing you can do is add instant payment. which means that if someone doesnt pay you straight away then they cannot have it.

    1) if you list more than you have then what happens if you sell more than you have? easily done on a popular item.

    2) As this is a collection item I assume OP is hoping to be able to persuade buyer to pay cash- so unrealistic to use the instant payment on this as that forces them to use paypal.

To be honest, Alistairs post didn't make a lot of sense to me!

As an aside, I'm glad this WASN'T my buyer - what a nightmare!

As a seller youd want to avoid them thats for sure.
Unfortunately ebay is increasingly becoming a haven for these kind of people.
For selling Ebay is best avoided
For buying its game on - happy days - you can do whatever you want.

Non payers whilst a nuisance are not a reaosn to start panicking and giving up a good selling business.

Always do a full NPB on each and every non payer, have your selling preferences set as tight as you can and don't panic about things.

  • ... When advertising with a BIN price, why not select the option that says "immediate payment required when BIN is used"? At least that way you should wheedle out some of the less serious buyers.
