Changing the name on my property deed and mortgage

Hi All

I want to change the name of the person on my joint mortgage mortgage. I want to take my ex partners name off and put my new partners name on. I have contacted my mortgage provider (RBS) and they said it will cost £150 to change the name on the mortgage.

My questions are as followed...

1/ How much does it cost to change the name on the deeds of a property?

2/ All parties have agreed to this so how long would it take to change all both the above?

3/ Is there anything else i need to be aware of?

Thanks for any replies/ advice or help

Alec

The mortgage is a homebuy direct mortgage, therfore the mortgage is 75% and the homebuy loan is 25%.

What do I need to do in relation the homebuy direct scheme?

    Thanks
