I havent heard back from the Affiliate manager yet, shouldnt argos and homebase know who the affiliate manager is no matter which cashback site it will be? In the mean time I had another dd set up for dennis publishing a magazine subscription. Its been cancelled by my bank and dennis publishing and they say it cant be traced either because they have lots of companies setting up subscriptions for them. The only reason it will continue is if they don't get traced and no one seems to care they just cancel the applications and dont want to waste time tracing where it was done and who byThanx

Yes, they will know, but you will be lucky to find someone in those companies who knows about the AM. Most of the people you speak to will not have heard of the AF, and will just know how to deal with customer complaints, because that's their job and that's all they know.
AF's are usually part of, or linked to the IT department, but try getting someone to put you through to the IT Dept!0 -
If it helps, I saw an advert for a Senior Online Marketing & Content Manager job at Homebase. One of the duties is affiliates.
So whoever got the job is the person you need to contact.0 -
Cant they trace ip addresses etc? or shouldnt they check the email address or phone before allowing things through?
Banks, police etc aren't interested when someone uses your card and has goods delivered to their own house! So not much chance of them making any effort to check IPs etc.
As for an affiliates manager, they will probably just quote (made up) data protection rules to you in fear of doing something wrong.0 -

Having been on the wrong end of Affiliate Managers on more than one occasion, I doubt that. It's their job to hunt out fraudulent affiliate commission claims, and they do it far to enthusiastically.
They may not tell Lady_k who it was, but they will take action to prevent that person/site doing it again.0 -
