Hi! I was just wondering if anyone else had experienced terrible customer service from Euroflowers?
My mum and sister bought quite a few items there yesterday. Among their purchases were two wreath hangers. They asked a sales assistant if the hangers were suitable for PVC doors as I'd already bought one that wasn't. They were told they were but, upon trying them at home, it became obvious they weren't.
My sister brought them back today, asking for a refund. She was told their policy is to give credit notes and when she explained about having been told they were suitable for PVC doors she was told this was 'irrelevant' as it was her word against the sales assistants. She doesn't want a credit note as they bought all they wanted from the shop yesterday. The man pointed out a very small sign behind the counter with their policy on it, but this wasnt visible when the sales assistant stood infront of it to serve them and in any case is so small you'd need great eyesight to read it.
To be honest it's not about the money for the hangers (£8), it's about basically being called a liar and Euroflowers poor customer service.

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together." The Sale of Goods Act states that goods must be, among other things, as described. If your mum and sister bought something that the sales staff described as suitable for hanging on a PVC door and it isn't then they are entitled to a full refund.
Now the store may say it's your word against the sales assistant but I would argue very firmly with the manager that that is what you were told. IMO it is for them to prove you weren't rather than you to prove that you were.
The notice in the shop is completely irrelevant because the right to a refund in such circumstances is your statutory right and the store cannot change that right by putting up a notice.
I would go back and have another conversation with the manager using that language. This MSE guide is very useful.
Let us know how you get on.0 -
I agree with the above person....item has to be 'fit for purpose'.....which in this case it was not.:beer:0

I would throw the hangers in the bin, forget about going back to complain to Euroflowers staff, is it worth the journey?
Take a hit, and phone the manager, tell him you going to post it over the internet that they called you a liar over £8 and that you have posted in here and thousands of pple are going to read it.
Now how much is bad advertising worth?0 -
I think the owners name is Brian Canavan. Maybe ask and speak to him0

Been in euroflowers on a couple of occassions and thought staff were more than helpful. Much more so than some other shops iv been to in other 'more fashionable' parts of Belfast. I believe it's a family owned business and I have got some great deals ther throughout the years.0
