If 2012 is the end?? (of my debt as we know it?)

  • Morning Morning!

Feeling good today, went to the gym and yoga and I’ve lost 2lbs this week (tues to tues)!! I’m using the “my fitness pal” website which is a free calorie counter bit like WW and it has an iphone app so I can keep an eye on the move!

I got paid from my second extra job today so that’s £90 of extra earnings this month so far! I’m only £20 behind my target so this weekend I will knuckle down with some surveys as I have one account with £14 in it already! The best thing is that the £90 has paid my tax disc and some so I have £35 more to play with in my budget for Jan pay, which I will save for valentines as the boy is taking me for dinner so I want to get him a card and something. I’m also keeping an eye out for the next free insertion dates for ebay as I have some stuff that I can off load (sorry sell)

Today is a spend day, I’m making a cake for a friends 30th, our group of mates were all talking about chipping £50 into a fund and buying something but I said I couldn’t stretch to that and I’d make a birthday cake instead, its probably going to cost me about £20 to make so I figure it’s a saving and will stop me being out and about spending for at least 2 days. Tomorrow I am meeting a friend for lunch (haven’t seen her for 3 months) but it’s a £10 deal including a drink, Friday will be a NSD at least!

    Targets for this week:
    • Gym 5 times 3 times
    • Yoga 5 times 4 times
    • Loose 1lb
    • Make a cake
    • Bag up my summer clothes
    • 3 NSD

  • Hello

    Sorry i've been really busy!

    So i've paid:

    £180 off the debt
£25 extra off my tv licence payment card so i'm a monthly payment ahead
    £400 for my summer holiday
And all my bills are up to date!!

    WOOHOOO

At the moment i'm studying mortgage rates as mine expires in 2 months (just got my statement) looks like if i stay with my current bank I can pay about £75 a month less and still get a no charges bank account..so i'm going to call them tomorrow to check and then I can pay the extra 75 off my debt a month which would be awesome it would mean I could get the balance £7,840.87 by christmas minimum

I've re-jigged my spreadsheets and without the mortgage change I have about £20 - £30 a week to spend, doesn't sound a lot but thats with birthday nights out already budgeted so its ad-hoc nights out, clothes which i think it do-able.

The great office romance is going really well, just got to think of a valentines gift, I already have a card I got that last month, he is taking me for dinner which I can't wait for i'm really happy in my personal life at the moment - i just need to get to grips with the financial aspect.

should be a NSD tomorrow, I have £160 still to come in from extra work, and i've made a cake for someone at work and they are paying me £20 on top of ingredients i'm hoping that word might get round so i'm really going to take my time with it mighty be handy if i get to make a couple every now and then.

There's also a posibility of promotion this summer apparently, which could mean an increase in my salary depending on how the company is performing. so I'm going to keep my head down
  • Hey!

Well done its so nice to hear everything is so positive! You sound so on top of everything, you're doing so well and if you could save money on the mortgage that'd be even better!

wit woo, so nice the romance is kindling, love it! You'll have to give me MSE dating tips - if I ever find anyone to take me on :D

Fingers and toes crossed on the promotion!
