I have deep frown marks between my eyes and botox/fillers really don't appeal to me as they are temporary. I have troublesome psoriasis all along my hairline at my forehead and I wonder if this would cause problems re any 'mini' surgical or other type of treatment. (I'm in my 60's now!)
Any experiences, information, options or advice would be really appreciated, thank you.

Would you prefer something invasive at a clinic or something you could do at home? Some sort of light based therapy could be good, may even help your psoriasis. Look into products like the Anti-Ageing Light Stim or have a consultation at a clinic that offers many different therapies and make it clear that you don't want botox or fillers and don't let them persuade you otherwise!Living cheap in central London :rotfl:0

Thank you, Adelight. I hadn't heard of Anti-Ageing Light Stim so I'll look into it - especially if it might also help the psoriasis.
Because the frown marks are quite deep (and make me look cross!) I tend to think something very long lasting would be best - so your suggestion of a a consultation is a good option. I don't know if anything long lasting can be done without a general anaesthetic but that would appeal to me if it is available. I can investigate somewhere reputable after the new year once I'm solvent again. I'll never be a real beauty - I just don't want to look cross when I'm really not! I appreciate your reply, Adelight.0 -
Clarins sell a product that is quite waxy and works like polyfilla to fill wrinkles. It is very temporary (i.e. wrinkles will be back when you cleanse your face) but it fills in the appearance of wrinkles. It might be worth a trip to the clarins counter and ask them to put some on you so you can see if you like the effect.
Although you have said you don't want botox or fillers it is probably the best solution. Although it is temporary (6 months or so) I have known people who haven't had to get it done again as they got out of the habit of frowning so the wrinkles were never as pronounced again. If you always do what you have always done, you will always get what you always got!0 -
oh love think carefully before taking the plunge,
you are what you are, embrace it.
and s+d anyone who says you need changing.
I intend to grow old disgracefully (if I live long enuff)
why shouldn't I have a blue rinse beard?haha
Dare I ask why you feel the need to change yourself now?
best wishes

Do some googling and have a read around a treatment called 'dermarolling' which you can get in a salon or do at home. I first learned about it on Embarrassing Bodies where they used it for scar removal, and then I learned it can also be used to reduce wrinkles. I own two, one long one for a scar on my thigh, and a short one for my forehead, but it's only been about a month so I can't comment on results. If it turns out well then I'll be dermarolling my stretch marks too... it's relatively cheap and the science behind it does make sense (as a junior doctor).0

Hi Crimson...being in the same age bracket as you, I know what you mean about looking like you're cross when you're not!!!
A friend of mine suggested sports/athletic tape...she's American, and the equivalent here is zinc tape.....to "smooth away wrinkles"
So, I Googled this mysterious method, and found this on youtube:-

I've got as far as buying some tape, but as yet haven't actually tried it out...... I must stop procrastinating and do so!!!
If it works, it will be a very a :money: way of getting rid of said frown lines and other facial wrinkles, which will be great!!!
If you come across anything else, do let us know.

Thank you lollipopsarah - At times I really do look cross (as if I'm frowning) when I'm really not. As I get older (in 60's now) it looks even worse. Thanks for your kind post - I appreciate it.0 -

Thanks for reporting back, glowgirl. I've not been able to get out but I'm eager to try the zinc tape when I can get some - please keep us posted - especially if it's worth persevering. PS - I'm sure you didn't really look worse but you made me smile!
