Nuts

What happened to the price of nuts when I wasn't looking?

In "old money" the cheapest ones seem to come in at around £5 per lb:eek:. I'm still expecting to be able to buy them for around £2 a lb and can't quite work out what on earth has happened to the price of them.

Does anyone know where is the best place to buy nuts at a more reasonable price please?

Ethnic food shops in bulk. What nuts are you looking for? Tesco do natco almonds £2/400g which is very cheap.

    Depends what sort of nuts?
Siansburys peanuts for example can be the equivalent of £1.96 per pound if buying the Jumbo salted peanuts in th 600g packets.
