We've just got one! We got it from Comet via quidco and it includes and free clean and tidy kit.

So far so good! I'm far too giddy about it in all honesty. It is pretty good. Be aware that the warranty is only 2 years mind you, I think usually Dyson's are 5 years.

It wouldn't replace my big Dyson as I have 2 kids aged 4 and 6 and two dogs who moult like demons...the battery time is also quite limiting. And it does hurt your finger a bit keeping it on the power button if you're doing a few rooms.

Probably a good second vacuum for a family or ok as a total replacement for a single person or couple who don't have furry pets or a huge house to keep up with.

I did google at the time and Comet were the cheapest. Amazon also have it in but without the quidco, so it's not as cheap overall, but it also comes with the clean and tidy kit with Amazon.
  • Yes, this is really meant as a second vacuum cleaner. If you live in a very clean household you might just get away with it but if you have children or pets you will really need a more powerful one. The Dyson DC24 is the lightest full size Dyson but still heavy compared to this.

Looks like Amazon is cheapest at the moment but I don't think you get the free clean and tidy kit with the DC35:

I should point out, I bought our DC35 to keep upstairs clean (house is going up for sale in January so more important than usual!) as it saves me lugging the big one around. Takes up virtually no space and it gets in much smaller spaces than my DC07.

My mum has just got the DC24 and it seems really good. The bin is much smaller than your average Dyson (which is fine if you're not lazy like me!!), the fact it's so much smaller and the handle is telescopic is really good if storage space is limited. She's keeping her old DC07 as backup in case of malfunctions...but she can throw round the new one much more easily and it does the job really well.
  • Do bear in mind that Amazon have sold the DC35 for £149.99 previously though that was about 9 months ago.

If you're not in a rush to get one you could either try tacking the price on camelcamelcamel or try seaching the MegaShopBot.

thanks all! went into comet and had a play today its brill lol im over excited though im sure the bank manager wont be hahah
i have a 2 up 2 down just me and a child and a dog, i think hoovering every day with this would be sufficient, im suck of my heavy dyson and the fact i can do car and stairs easily is a big bonus
the lad in comet said the cleaners use them instead of what is provided for them
all out of stock in town and say they are struggling to get stock to keep up with the demand!
so on line it is then
    thankyou
