I bought some of these because they were bogof in the supermarket. I have used them in stir fries and stews. They have a nice firm texture and are good for padding out crockpot creations as they hold together well.Twins, twice the laughs, twice the fun, twice the mess!:j:j0

bean burger??
yummy with cheese in a sesame bun- prior planning prevents poor performance!

prettypennies - you've now got me thinking "Who got the other packet as a pressie?"! Mind you, he isn't that OS or money-savvy so even if they were BOGOF he probably wouldn't notice that he could have got a bargain.0

Can I just ask, where do yuo get the edamame that are still in their pods? I always order them when we go out for sushi and would love to have them at home!
Thanks
I get mine from the Japan Centre in London, but that's probably not much help to people outside London. I think you can buy them online from https://www.mountfuji.co.uk, or you may be able to get them at a decent health food shop, like Fresh & Wild, or if you regularly go to the same sushi restaurant, you could always ask them to pick you up a bag full from the cash & carry?2015 comp wins - £370.25

That's great thank you - I live in London so will definitely look in the Japan Centre - yummy, can't wait!:j0

There's also a couple of Japanese supermarkets on Brewer Street (off Regent's Street) and I think you can get them in Loon Fung on Gerrard Street, near Leicester square, usually around £2/bag. HTH!2015 comp wins - £370.25

I love them - they taste creamy and nutty like a poster above says.
I often add them to rice - a little goes a long way.0 -
Costco do a frozen stir fry mix which contains beans which look much like the ones on the Birds Eye packet, and they are very nice, like a cross between peas and broad beans. Please forgive me if my comments seem abrupt or my questions have obvious answers, I have a mental health condition which affects my ability to see things as others might.0

They were doing a tasting of these in my local supermarket (Morrisons) this morning and they were lovely (Birds Eye ones I mean !). I have bought a packet as they were giving vouchers for 25p off the retail price of £1.89.
The price is high so they won't be something I buy every time but I guess that in future the price will come down as other companies decide to do them too.
The taster lady had just microwaved them for 3 mins and served them butter. Damn good they were too !0 -
I tried them in an attempt to get DS to eat something round and green other than peas and it worked, so I am going to try him on broad beans next. Told him the soya beans were flat peas, though ... but he still liked them
Very nice with couscous, chopped cherry tomatoes and balsamic vinegar ....That's Numberwang!0
