  • Sorry disagree. Waste of time and money. The refills dont last nearly as long as they should. Dont waste your money

Also , when i asked about using on a plane i was told no by the airline staff.

e-cigs are worth it, these ones aren't IMO.

Check out http://allaboute-cigarettes.proboards.com/index.cgi which is a forum full of nice people waiting to advise you how to do it properly.

This will probably be the same for any ecigarette.

Is this based on your own useage ?

I have just purchased some of these for my father who smokes around 30 a day, he started trying them out and so far he has not thrown them away of course it is still early days but the first signs are good. I looked at 100's before opting for this one as a lot of them look like toys. At least in my opinion this actually looks like a normal cigarette. I am annoyed that now they are half price but then thats what everything is like when there are sales on.

    This is just my opinion

    Happy New Year.
  • my othe half started using an ecigarette after our son was born 7 months ago, he hasnt touched a real cigarette since, he doesnt use this style but a different style where youcan use e liquid to refill so much cheaper, he is slowly decreasing the strength of the nicotine in it aswell :-)

I looked into the liquid ones but my father is partially paralysed down one side so has little use of his left hand and his right is not much better. I figured these were easier for my mother to understand (74) as she does everyting for him. Needed it as simple as possible. It is great to hear your success as hearing it from real people rather than some made up review.

Same as my hubby and he was a hardcore smoker, he wouldn't pick a cig up now, he says it takes some getting used to but then again so did picking up a normal fag!!

Did you use the Starter Kit 1st? How many do you use per day,I smoke 20 a day would I really save any money and kick the habit and harm of smoking real ciggies? Is it economical to recharge using your laptop battery, I am still unsure whether it is worth it in the long run.

  • Those e-lites are NOT very good.
They'll do to start with BUT and it's a BIG BUT - you'll get fed up quickly with recharging the batteries which don't last long. They're also a VERY expensive way to quit smoking.
Do some research - there are LOTS of ecig forums if you do a search and there are LOTS of FAR BETTER e-cigs on the market.

I use a tank model, looks like a long pen, which holds about 1ml of e-liquid (they say 1.5ml but there's no way it holds that much) I get through about 3ml of it a day (was a 20 a day smoker). My batteries should last a day but I use 2-3 a day. I also vape fruit flavours as I found when vaping tobacco flavours they're not quite there plus why vape something you're trying to give up? Ciggies taste AWFUL now. I've cut down the nicotine content too using Glycerine (less than £2 for 250ml) and am making up my own flavours - liking Strawberry at the moment.

It's a WONDERFUL way to give up. I've tried MANY times before with just about every available method (tabs, gum, sprays, patches etc.)over my 40yr smoking history BUT hopefully this time will work. No hopefully about it - this time WILL work. Very, very little withdrawel and with vaping the habit of picking something up and inhaling is sorted.

Most people who vape will quickly go away from the cigarette look alike e-cigs as they don't work very well, the battery life is worse than useless and there are FAR better ecigs on the market. Why draw attention to yourself with a cigarette looking e-cig when you can easily vape in secrecy by looking as if you are sucking a pen?

E-cigs are a wonderful invention but do be aware that there are far better models on the market than these and if you are serious about giving up you'll get a loss less grief from other models.

Do a search and order yourself a decent model with a good battery life instead plus quite a few (6 or so) atomisers/cartomisers as these last anywhere from 1-14days or so and are replaceable. Experiment with flavours other than tobacco - cherry is nice.

If I can give up easily with these then anyone can.

I bought mine direct from China via alibaba.com
Mine is an Ego W system with 1,100 batteries - most batteries here are 650 so mine are nearly double that. When I bought them - 2 sets - so 4 complete e-cigs they weren't yet available here.
I've replaced the tank systems with Bud tanks as the Ego-W tanks crack and are pretty useless.
Many e-cigs are bases on the Ego batteries.
I don't regret for 1 minute buying 2 starter sets as you need spare batteries.
I can't really recommend anyone here as I've just bought the BUD replacement tanks here. (Cost me £4.50 for 2 tanks, less discount which made it about £4). Just google Ego W and Bud e-cig and you'll see the type I have.
Take a look at this forum -it's the largest e cig forum I think. The UK part of it is the 2nd link.

I've just googled and am now surprised at the prices of mine - they have halved in price so it's really not worth the bother of ordering them from China any more especially when you can get next day delivery instead of waiting anxiously for the slow boat from China.

UPDATE - I clicked on a sneaky one that was offering the Kit as just ONE instead of the normal 2 e-cigs. You are going to NEED a minimum of 2 e-cigs even if you are a light smoker. I have 4 but I'm actually thinking of ordering another 2 sets just for a back-up. Prices here are around £45 for a set of 2 - you can get 2 sets= 4 ecigs from China at about the same price. OK they may not be quality controlled well - I had problems initially but by reading the forums I sorted 3 of my batteries out, the 4th lasts no time, did have 2 bad tankomisers but they are cheap to replace.

Go on the forums as there are plenty of discount codes from various suppliers.

Forget the e-lites unless you're a VERY light smoker as you'll quickly get fed up of diminishing extremely poor battery life and expensive replacement parts.

These are like a long, fat fountain pen BUT you quickly get used to that and you'll wonder why you ever bothered with the ciggie type ones. If you've never tried an e-cig then apparently tescos now do a disposable one for £5.99 - shocking price BUT if you wanted to try one it might be worth a go.
