I have discovered that some companies send out free fabric and wallpaper samples. Great for crafting, I am going to make some fabric hearts with my samples. Vanessa Arbuthnot, William Morris, Sanderson, to name jut a few.

I have been lucky that our local interior design shop often puts out their old fabric and wall paper books giving me lots of free stuff for crafting!

THis isn;t really fair on the companies is it. They send out samples in the hope you will buy their product nto so you can get free stuff. If everyone does this the companies will lose a lot of money.

One could say the same about the really cheap deals in supermarket (i.e. they offer them so you'll come in and buy more) or accepting 'tasters' in supermarkets/the street with no intention of buying the product, or holding off buying food until the last minute and trying to buy it under cost price if possible; isn't MSE all about 'Consumer Revenge'?

Not really MandM90 in this case it just means that companies will stop offering the option of samples, or they become so small they are only useful for crafters rather than people actually wanting to select which wallpaper to buy.

However, as mentioned above many will want to get rid of older samples so if you write to them and explain what you want it for, some are likely to send you out odds and ends of things they no longer need helping everyone.
