I wish I had half of that in my cupboard. How about a pasta bake with cheese, ham and sweetcorn? just make a white sauce butter flour and milk, grate in cheese chop up ham and add ham and sweetcorn. Toad in the hole? Good luck xxx
Why didn't someone kick me up the backside earlier:mad:

I think people get sucked in to Iceland don't they? You go there and think ooooh that'll be handy and before you know it you have a freezer with 6000 sausage rolls. You've got loads of food to have as a base so maybe just get a couple of spices to change flavours? I've been adding steak seasoning to loads of things which have nothing to do with steak!
Bean curry is really good is your family likes curries. Adding potatoes to it is yum because the curryness (good word) soaks into the potato.
With the chicken breasts, you could slice them and marinate in chopped garlic, oil and some lemon or lime juice - cover and leave over night, then put them into a dish, cover with tinfoil and cook them in the oven. I've done that and served hot and also cold mixed through a salad. The garlic just changes the taste a bit so it's not plain and this is eaten heartily by my non-garlic eating husband hehehe.
With the salmon i would either poach it plain (which i adore) or else whack on some cajun seasoning if you want to oomph it up a bit and fry it.
Keep an eye on the sell-by dates on your packets of sauce mix - I've thrown out loads before. I'm sure others would use them but I'm always worried about upset tums.
Good luck with this - you can do it!! You just need a bit of flavouring to your food at the moment because you're tired of blandness.
Keep posting as you use stuff up and maybe we can think of other things for you to do with what is left. It would be great if you manage to stay out of the supermarket!

You could make a sort of dahl..fry onions with spices/pepper. Then cook lentils and rice in stock.

    Or

A beany stew, using onions, tinned beans, stock, grated carrots..topped with a crust made from breadcrumbs.

I just wanted to add that if you can get a tub of mascarpone cheap then I make carbonnara with that, rather than eggs :)

I just cook the pasta, fry a little bacon, and onion. I usually add mushrooms but I don't stress about it if I don't have any. Add the mascarpone to heat it up slightly and then add the pasta. Serve straight away. It's delicious :)

Good luck with your challenge :)

I'd edit the orginal post as it's the first one that people will see when they come here! With a handful of herbs and spices you have an amazing amount of food there, but don't get in the habit of throwing it out it's all down hill from there!!

This might help for additional inspiration?!
