buy a lot of meat from ur butcher in one go and freeze it. Often family butchers will give u a bit of a discount if u buy a lot at once.0

I watched The Lie of the Land documentary this evening. Don't think I'll ever be buying meat from a supermarket ever again. :eek:If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0

It was a documentary about the decline of the countryside and rural communities. Started with filming an amateur hunt then started to follow the huntsmen as they went around collecting dead animals (and killing perfectly good but financially unviable ones) to feed the hounds. Farmers in decline explaining how government policy has actually abandoned the profession in favour of imports. They get paid to raise daffodils and save badgers rather than animals for food. Insane. If you think reality makes sense, you're just not paying attention!0 -

Supermarkets' premium ranges 'no better than average'
"Discerning shoppers scouring supermarket shelves for classier cuisine are in for a shock. A leading fine food expert has accused British chains such as Tesco, Sainsbury's and Asda of trying to pass off "average foods" as premium ranges and overcharging customers for mediocre meals. "

Must agree with that article, the ones I have tried are average or worse, not anymore for me. I did go to Tesco last week for a few things like sugar etc as refuse to pay for it and extra as thats where local shop buys it, my till spit bonus coupon was for 'Ready Meals' wonder if that is a hint as I have stopped buying them, needless to say it won't be getting usedOne day I might be more organised...........
