Has anyone else noticed any weight loss? Avoiding the supermarkets has meant avoiding convenience/junk food and our diet has subsequently improved. I am now making our own bread with locally milled flour, eating organic fruit and veg and locally raised meat and not only are we saving £1's but we are now losing lbs :j Seems too good to be true but it will be very interesting to see posts in a months time on the differences this is making to all of us!
Rach - I love the starfish story!
Catz xOur days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.

I had to go into Sainsbury's yesterday and I saw a customer do something completely disgusting. She was at the salad bar where she picked up one of the takeaway forks and dug into the pasta salad she took the fork out and put in straight into her mouth which I thought was gross but then she did something even more disgusting she put the fork back in for another mouthful so the next person who bought the pasta salad would be buying something with her spit in it.I couldn't believe that a grown women (in her 50's) could be so disgusting.0

My DD might make the odd post for me0 -
I haven't been to a supermarket since Christmas Eve - a frightening experience!
I've just spent my vouchers on an intergrated fridge and dishwasher and wont miss them for anything else.
Just a quick question though - where is the best place to buy loo roll and washing powder locally. These items really are quite a bit more expensive and we go through a lot in our house because of an illness. I tried buying some from the market but the quality was ****.Doing voluntary work overseas for as long as it takes .......
