Farmfoods "Offers"

Hi, I am a branch Manager with Farmfoods. Just to clear up to everyone who is talking about Farmfoods "offers"...
... Farmfoods do not put offers on products but will have standing prices on most products. This means that the bags of Chicken Breast Fillets and 250g Bacon (3 for £6) for example, although on multibuy pricing are not on offer. If a product is on offer a retailer would display a date until which the offer is valid. Farmfoods' prices change day to day so the Chicken Breast Fillets that are 2 for £8 today maybe 2 for £6 tomorrow. As they are not on offer at 2 for £8, they may also increase in price tomorrow.
Basically, Farmfoods offer "Great food, at amazing prices". Prices so amazing that people assume products are on offer when they are not.
If you recieve a promotional leaflet in the mail, these prices are usually guarenteed until the end of that month as a promotional price, not an offer price.
I hope that makes sense. Anyone who would like more info, just ask

Hi, as you all know, I am a Regional Manager with Farmfoods.
I would ask you all to ignore rockindude22's post as he/she is clearly an imposter. No Farmfoods manager would ever call themselves rockingdude!
Farmfoods do have offers, and this week we have the best offers we have ever had. Every single item in all our stores has been reduced by AT LEAST 25%, MANY BY 50%.0 -
Ignore Geordie Joe, he/she is clearly immature and gets a kick out of ruining other people's threads. Nothing has been reduced by 25 or 50% although our prices remain fantastic!
PS. I play guitar in a metal band, hense the screen name. Can't a store manager have a hobby?!?
Also, Farmfoods management structure does not include "regional" managers. If you worked for Farmfoods, you'd know that0 -
I don't really care for cheap frozen food stuffed full of additives and cr*p.0

I suppose it comes down to who do you believe,
a newie with 2 posts or someone who has been on Mse since 2006 who has nearly 7000 posts.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.

so if there are no regional managers then whats the job title for those who a regional managers job ?0 -
Surely if you are a store manager you would know or have the means to know who all the regional/area managers are. In my job/jobs we have had contact lists for people in the business including all area managers/field staff and head office contacts.
Surely the OP can check to see if there is a regional manager called "Joe" ?0 -

No, it was my sarcastic way of pointing out to you that anyone can come in here and claim to be whoever they want to be, just like you and I did.
This is why we have a rule that says you can't come in here and claim to represent an organisation without first having that claim verified by the admin.0 -

Of course it doesn't make sense!
In common parlance there is no difference between "promotion" or "offer". Though technically it is the customer who offers to purchase: the retailer invites an offer.0 -
I don't know how much truth or otherwise there is in OP and to be honest I care less. I assume the difference between 'amazing prices' and 'offers' is just a way of getting round the rules about prices...not that it seems to stop most supermarkets:rotfl:
It doesn't matter to the average shopper, we recognise a massive price hike when we see one whether the previous price was an 'offer' or an 'amazing price' it makes no difference.Deleted_User wrote: »I don't really care for cheap frozen food stuffed full of additives and cr*p.
I must disagree with your sentiment here Lee. Yes. Farmfoods do sell some "cheap frozen food stuffed full of additives and cr*p" as do all supermarkets. But if you've time to shop around they also sell some very good value goods too which represent a considerable saving on other stores. And I don't even work there:D0
