I thought you may be interested in the following:
I booked a holiday through Thomas Cook to Crete just two weeks before the Thomas Cook debarcle, now I am no fool and I knew what ever occured my money would be safe even if the holiday went under, but of course we all know the outcome Thomas Cook Saved.
Any way after Christmas with a couple of ports and mince pies within I found a holiday next Christmas to Mexico, coincides with my 50ith so would be ideal.
Now as Martin says if you don't ask, so phoned cooks for a discount didn't ask for anything told them we are currently account holders, and surprise, nothing is exactly what they offered, after a couple more pies (ports) called back, once again nothing not even an in flight meal, once more I called a little annoyed by now after all I had not set the bench mark, (Zero) I was looking for an offer for loyalty( Like Tesco) still nothing, however they allowed me to cancel my holiday to Crete. I hope that Thomas Cooks staff will be there next year (If I Call )
