  • anyone think a kitchen aid may go up again?!?!
  • Great to hear it worked out well for you in the end. I'll be selling my current telly for a couple of hundred quid, plus my regular bluray player, so all in I reckon I'll be paying around £400 for the telly, bluray player and 2 sets of glasses.

Don't forget to apply for these deals off Panasonic too. You probably won't get the warranty as it says for TVs bought in-store, but worth chancing your arm I guess. But the Avatar 3D bluray and Star Wars Trilogy are nice freebies.

Have ready filled out the star wars form, but thanks for the avatar heads up :-) looks like the 5yr warranty is a non-starter, shame! Amazon's Squaretrade warranties don't look very good value, shame there isn't more competition in the after sale warranty market.

Our 1yr old bluray player goes for about £60-80 on eBay, and only cost £100, happy days. Our tv is a 6yr old hand me down though, so it's moving to the bedroom.

Got the Sekonda Party Time Watch I wanted - told myself that if it came down to less than £15, I would buy it and it came down to £14.18.

  • Got the sneak preview email last night at 11pm for next set of deals for tomorrow - a Canon 600d camera Kit in that list :D (woohoo as been looking for one)

    Current prices:

Canon EOS 600D Digital SLR Camera (inc. 18-55 mm f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens Kit) - £599.99

Canon EOS 600D Digital SLR Camera (Incl. 18-135 f/3.5-5.6 IS II Lens Kit) - £769.99

Canon EOS 600D Digital SLR Camera (Body Only) - £569.99

So will be watching like a hawk to see if they bump up the price and then drop it as a "discount"

Word of warning, some of the 'lightning deals' are not really that good. One such example are the Senheiser CX300-II headphones that just started. 2 months ago Amazon were selling them for £9.99, they then put the price back up and obviously reduced it for the sale, but not back down to £9.99

A very similar model are for sale for £12.99 in the Play sale: http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/4-/26954681/Sennheiser-CX300-Eco-Ear-Canal-Headphones-White/Product.html?searchstring=&searchtype=allproducts&searchsource=2&searchfilters=ae212%7b646996%7d%2bc%7b321%7d%2b&urlrefer=search

(note, I dont recommend either sets as they are terrible quality - read the reviews and you'll note that in nearly all cases, they break after a couple of months)

Basically before going for one of the lightning deals, look around - you'll probably find it cheaper elsewhere. It happened with a 40" TV yesterday - it was £50 cheaper at Currys of all places!

Deals are what they seems to be, I bought a set of cook books in the Black Friday sale, paid £25.99, after the BF sale they are selling for £14.99!

Bought hand creams for £9.99 they are selling on the site for £8.80!
