I found that sun managed a whole load of wonders on my DD's poo stained nappies .... although, I have to warn you, that I found the Winter sun took longer than the Summer sun to sort it out. I found that lying the items on the grass made it quicker (can't remember why, I read it somewhere!)
If all else fails, dilute solution of Milton / bleach will do the trick......

Apparently frost works wonders too - hang the stuff outside overnight - and this is the week to do it!
