    Hi All!
Have managed to get 5 out of the 12 "one a month treats" for Mr Pips Christmas pressie. Found on Virgin last night they had 2for1 on the Grand Prix collection at Donnington only £8 and its not too far from us here so thats another crossed off.

Used my Spudpoints from McCains to get a Bella Italia voucher and you can use Lovetoshops vouchers there too so now have £35 which should be plenty for a meal, another ticked off and for free!

Hoping to exchange Maximiles points for 2 cinema tickets, just need to check dates its valid.

Hope your all doing well x x

  • Hello Thrifters :)

September is here, we're back from our holiday, and now the next big 'event' (other than DS 1st birthday of course!) is Christmas and I just couldn't help but want to jump straight into the Christmas pool and start planning. I have been AWFUL at saving any money this year and I thought enough is enough and have done the budget planner and bit the bullet and saw that we are silly over spenders, which is just what we suspected :rotfl: We need a house deposit and we need to pay off our debts, so the scrimping and cut backs start now and I just know we can have an amazing Christmas and spend at least half of what we usually do! Every Christmas I do my best to save money and do pretty well, but upping my game this year.

So! Ordered a Waybuloo toy for DS for Christmas in the Tesco sale yesterday, free click and collect, used £10 of my cc vouchers for it, and it was down from £20 something so very happy at that free pressie! :T

Will also be making bundles of gifts this year to a) save us money and b) keep me very excited and busy (am a bit of an avid craft/cookery head!). I've made a wee list and I'm going to make a few home made food hampers with some (or all if I manage to find the time!) a jam, lemon marmalade (a local market shop does 8 or 9 lemons for 99p!), two different chutneys, two different mustards, sweet thai chilli sauce, fudge, peanut brittle, and chocolates.
Also going to have a go at bath bombs and bath salts!

Also had a rough count up and have around £70 in vouchers (Nectar and Valued Opinions) to spend! So I'm *hoping* a thrifty Christmas isn't going to be tooooo difficult! Subscribing to this thread to keep me inspired and on track! :A
