  • Hi

Been ploughing through this and getting great ideas, now looking for suggestions!

Will make family night in hamper for a friend for Christmas, mum, dad, 17yo daughter and 12yo son. At the moment, thinking of mug each with drinking chocolate sachet, marshmallows, hopefully will get little packets of biscuits (actually, just remembered that I will be giving blood before then and as they insist that we partake of drink & biccies, may be cheeky and acquire a couple of packs :o), dvd of some sort, but not sure what else I could put in. Dad works shifts and will be on nights over Christmas,so would like it to be a little bit more special so they can make up for the fact he will be there so little over the holiday.

How about some getting some popcorn? You can buy the microwave ones in packets of 4 if you want to keep costs low ;) Some little boxes of chocs/packets of sweets would be good too.

Fab idea about the popcorn as that can be salty, did think about little packets of sweets, but then realised how much sugar would be involved!

Anybody with little boys to buy for The Book People have 65 book set of Thomas the Tank Engine for £20, free delivery over £25 or on any amount until tonight using CHEERDEL can use topcashback too for 3%

I did a movie night hamper as a Chrimbo pressie for friends last year and I put in some Haribos, some popcorn, 2 milkshakes for the kids, a beer for Dad and a mini wine for Mum, a squishy soft fleece for snuggling under as well as a DVD.

I bought that set for DD when she was about 2. She loved Thomas then, and because it was such good value, when I sold them on ebay when she grew out of them, we got more than £20 back. You might not be that lucky, but I'm just saying that this set is absolutely brilliant. Well spotted Pips Mum. :)

You could even split it up and give put a couple in party bags, or give them as birthday pressies. :) Oh edited to add, out set was about 30 or 40 and I've just noticed this is 65 so even more of a bargain. :D
