Phew - glad we solved that problem there for you rufus. One less thing to wonder about.
Emma i used to feed my two soup a lot at that age, so they could hold bread that had been dipped in, and I could slip spoons of soup in between bites. Potato wedges. Bits of toast or fruit loaf. Bananas. slices of apples. bits of cheese. Anything really. Mine have always been good eaters. I can sympathise with the climbing. I used to find DS2 stood on my dining table.
Headache a bit better, but I wish DS2 had a volume control on him. He is so loud. I can't seem to tone him down a bit.
I hope I get a bit of review inspiration from somewhere. All reviews I have written are on both sites. I will actually have to start writing some more. I have written 14 in January so far, so not too bad, but could be a lot better.
SB - about 30 to go till £5 amazon redeem, so I will be making sure I get that one claimed today.0 -
Thanks michelle will try soup never thought she may eat it, I have just given her a cheese spread sandwich, different fruit cut up, a babybel and a ritz to see what she would have a go of but all she has really eaten is the ritz and the fruit the rest got chucked!!To get to Disneyland Florida 20160

afternoon all
michelle i remember mine when they where little hun, it is hard work when they want to eat themselves and tends to get quite messy lol. but anything that they can hold themselves is fine, or even try with a spoon n help her. but they can get vey annoyed very quickly if i remember haha. as for the climbing i think they all go through that stage as well, all you can do is keep taking her down and saying no,(calmly lol) and the shouting for no reason is to get your attention, if you can try and ignore it as much as possible she will see that she is not getting anywhere. or alternatively you can try and distract her by giving her something else to do, but dont make a point of acknowledging her shouting. hth xx
I have been out in the snow, not that it coming down much but its cold out there today. visited my friend for an hr as i have not seen her since last monday, didnt want to go out as my illnesses are still playing up but needed to get out for an hr.
hope everyone else is well

Emma - if you're worried about how much she's drinking, make sure you give her plenty of liquid foods, soup - like Michelle said, jelly, and custard - you know, the things that you mix liquid in, to make it up. Smoothies would get some fruit into her too. She might not eat much but some is better than nothing. I had the same problems with both of mine, and the climbing/shouting.
Hiya Purple - how old are your kids now? I hope the cold doesn't affect your illnesses too badly.
Michelle - I hope your head has stopped hurting now. I keep meaning to ask, how are you getting on with the school govenor work?
I hope everyone is ok - it's bloomin cold isn't it? Getting colder by the day too. I was hoping I wouldn't have to buy a winter coat with it being mild, but it looks like I might just have to now. At least the prices have come down, and I can get a cheap one.
Exhausted now - I've put my pedometer on, after seeing someone mention it somewhere.I've done 18,000 steps so far. Plus been to the gym. I hope I sleep tonight, I was still awake at 4, and up at 5.30

Yeah Know that feeling, took me most of the day to get mine finished. 33 all in with 4 more to post tomorrow. But have cleared a fair amount of stuff which would either still be sitting gathering dust or bin/charity so we really shouldn't complain eh???
Having a break tonight as my ear still givin me bother, then back into it tomorrow with preparing another bag for listing tomoro night. My kids don't even ask me what I'm doing anymore its one look at me an EBAY MUM, we know!!
Still haven't got a grasp of all the survey sites I'm a member of but I will get there, spending a lot of time getting screened out an then the ones I do get through are always really long.0 -
Aww Emma, the wanting to feed themselves stage can be a pain. My daughter would not let us feed her and wanted to do it herself so we went with the flow, sometimes she refused to eat much as it can take alot of encouragement, praise, clapping, singing and funny noises to get them to eat just one more bite but it works. We tried to stick to meals that had variety and could be picked up. We found she loved salad you know, mushrooms, grated cheese, cucumber sticks, boiled egg, shredded ham or chicken, boiled potatoes/potato salad, quiche etc and the key was to put a little blob of ketchup on the plate, then she would dip near enough anthing you gave her into it and eat it. It helped through the meals she didn't like so much. We also found Roast dinner cut up in bite sized chunks was ideal as she was able to eat the bits she wanted without too much mess and lots of textures and flavours. If she was eating little we would sneak in mouthfuls on a fork/spoon in between her picking at bits which was the only way to do it. Luckily dd loves fruit so we gave her cut up peaches or grapes/banana and she would scoff those down every meal time without fail.
The screaming can be a pain in the backside but it's the age where in their world only what they see and do exists so the screaming might be because they want your full attention or are bored/cant see you etc. We dealt with this by keeping her with us whilst we did anything but gave her an activity to do so it would distract her. Distraction technique definitely worked for us. The worst times I remember was dd screaming the house down for hours on end as she didn't want to go to sleep, I'm glad those days are over, she would have me in tears some days as it went on for literally hours unless you picked her up and that would only make it worse after you put her back down.
You're doing great though Emma, it's just the carpy stage they go through but before you know it this stage will have passed and it will be something else.
Had a boring day, did several dump runs, an old lady almost smashed into us as she was in the wrong lane and cheeky moo beeped at me! and as I went to reverse into the bay area she wouldn't move her car so had to beep back for her to move. She proceeded to park in the bay backwards and glare at me. Some people, I guess she had never been there before but she was adamant it was my fault. At tesco, found no bargains, which is fine but when we came home checked the reciept the cashier scanned a few items twice, costing us around £20 more than they should have done. I think she must have noticed and maybe was a new staff member with no clue how to take off items so left it. So annoyed, I hope Tesco refund the items, just so annoyed and I didn't notice as dd was tired, upset and wanted to go home. Oh well, we will see what happens. Wouldn't mind if we had bought two bedding sets as dd will need more than one set for her new bed.
Sold an item today for £10, and hopefully maybe a few more sales tomorrow. Thinking I may treat myself to a sewing machine but not sure as I have done better than expected this month
Hope everyone is ok and doing well xxxComping wishlist for 2017

Aww Purple - I hope you get to see them lots.
Florence - keep going hun. It's hard work packing all those items, but better to be rid of them.
Nicola - well done to you too hun. You've done really well. Mine look at me and say, oh she's off again. LOL and I think the PO man knows me by my first name now.I really hope you ear clears up soon. I should go to the doc's if it carries on much longer.
Savvy - sorry to hear about Mr T overcharging you. You should be fine. Usually I ring them up when I get home, and they write it down, and refund me when I next go in.
Not done any money making today. I've done Spoints and that's it. I'll have to see if I can find some surveys, I've had none at all in my inbox today.I :heartpuls M.S.E.Mortgage Free 18/01/10 13 years and 8 months early on a 20 year mortgage!
