Hotels4U -£50 hotel stay: Now working again!

Hi,

This was posted by timharrison0662 last night but since then the thread has been moved to referrals for some reason!

https://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/discussion/3692943

The offer ended as the max number of vouchers had been used or something but it has now been activated again as confirmed on their facebook page.
Great news!! The promotion is available again. Thank you so much for your patience. Please click this link for the code to be applied. http://!!!!!!!/ue4tkK

Thought it would be best to post again so people don't miss out, sorry if this breaks rules!

They reached the limit, this is on their facebook site:

Congratulations if you're one of the thousands of bookers who have benefitted from our amazing Xmas offer. We have now reached the limit of bookings we're able to take with this offer. Sincere apologies if you have missed out but watch this space for more amazing deals in the New Year.

Hi everyone, I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this but I just wanted to give a heads up to anyone that was lucky in Hotels4u's Christmas Day £50 off offer. I was successful in securing one of these bookings but today the full amount was debited from my card. I emailed them and they said they pulled the offer due to some people making duplicate bookings and also due to a high level of fraudulent activity. They agreed to a full refund, which I accepted!

I'm mad because a) it was a gift for someone and now I need to find them something else! b) my account is now £50 short which I really really can't afford at this time and c) the way they have gone about it! They pulled the offer after I made my booking. They didn't not take the money, they took £50 more than I agreed to and waited for me to query it and it will take at least 10 working days to be credited back into my account!

I called my bank as this money is for my rent which I am due to pay today (the only reason I logged in to my bank account) but they say there's nothing they can do as the company have agreed to refund me. Does anyone know if there's anything else I could or should be doing?

I just wanted to let everyone else know to check their accounts and email reservations@hotels4u.com if they have a problem.

I hope I'm the only one this has happened to but seriously doubt it!

I had problems too but I think this isn't legal, you should get compensation for what it basically theft.
  • Same happened to me! Same reply from the company. Anybody know the e-mail for Thomas Cook Group's CEO? I'm £50 down!

So you guys only booked 1 room and they overcharged you guys by £50? I just checked my account and they debited the correct amount. I only booked 1 room.

There is a website which lists the e-mail addresses of every CEO, which apparently im not allowed to post (first time i tried came up with www.!!!!!!!!!!).

Basically do a search on google for CEO address, should be the first one you see, then search for thomas cook on that site.

Also, depending on what bank they use, for a faster transfer, demand they make the payment by BACS (3 day transfer) or CHAPS (chaps is same day), they probably wont want to do it as it can cost them £35 to do the transfer, but im pretty sure if you kick and scream enough you can get a faster transfer.
