Usual pile of over inflated presale prices, they think we are stupid. Good luck if you find the actual bargain lol0 -

I remember a few years ago argos were the default retail trader I looked to if I wanted to buy something at the cheapest prices. These days they don't come into my reckoning at all. Like Tesco their prices have suffered when coming up against the Internet and I see both beginning to suffer as the public wise up.0

Funny you should say that a Breville VCF011 Instant Cappuccino Coffee Machine was only yesterday £59.99 and today its gone upto £66.59 with an alleged saving of 1/3 Other annoying thing about it is that the item is not in stock not even for home delivery, hasn't been for weeks.
Its all the proof l need about the con's of the alleged sales, hadn't noticed it before0 -

Owned by the same company, the tricks are usually the same. Rarely are Argos 'Sale' bargains very bargainous.0 -

Me too. Looked at buying two children's DVD's before Christmas (Horrid Henry and Kung Fu Panda 2) and they were 2 for £20 in Tesco and something like £16 each in Argos, heck of a difference.0 -
I work for argos and homebase and argos are same company under home retail group we get 20% off homebase and 10% at argos due to homebase prices being 20% dearer even though they come from the same place!!0

I had put a couple of things on my favourites and indeed the price has gone up. Its still been advertised as new in the sale though as its reduced from full price from a while back.0
