I work there, if you're going to the stores you will have to be there when the store opens. There is always a stampede for the accesories dept and for the perfume/aftershave sets. Reductions are always fantastic but be warned it will be very, very busy...I wouldn't take the kids!

I hear that there are lots of Alexander McQueen scarves, might be tempted!

@ruxpin - are the perfumes usually 50% off? which perfumes are they usually?

Sorry! Only just come online, Merry Christmas everyone.

All the perfume and aftershave sets that have been stocked for Christmas go into the sale and they generally all go to 50% off or more.

Once the reduced stock is sold it will not be replenished. All the stock is held at store and they must sell through that stock. You can mail order from another store if you can ring through for £10 charge.

I have worked in retail for 15yrs and Selfridges have the best sale I have known as it is all genuine stock and gets reduced massively....not brought in for the sale like some stores!!
