Betts Metals - Are they good?

Hi folks. My partner and I are looking to buy our wedding bands after Christmas. We were quoted between £1000-1500 from various jewellers for 2 rings (1 x 2mm 18ct gold ring and 1 x 6mm 18ct gold ring).

We had a look on the Betts Metal website and the pirce is coming in at £550.

Has anyone used this site to buy rings and if so are they good? Thanks!

I haven't but I have used the wedding ring specialist (http://www.theweddingringspecialist.co.uk/) got my ring 2mm Heavy D 18k white gold for £146.81 including postage. The service I got was very good and the guy there was very helpful in answering all my questions.

Thanks for that website. The rings are a little more expensive but a good option if Betts Metals get bad reviews. Merry Christmas!

I'm thinking of getting our wedding rings through Betts Metals - price is great when signed up as trade. I can see where to select a polishing option, but there's no indication that the rings come hallmarked. Can anyone confirm that they deliver the rings hallmarked?

I have purchased my friends and my own wedding rings through Betts metals (as a trade account) and i have been nothing but amazed by their service .


They even custom made a ring for me (which i did not expect them to do) and it was no more expensive than any other ring as they price it on the weight of the final ring.

My friend's ring was purchased, but he got the size wrong. sending it back with a cover note got the ring size changed, re polished and sent back for under £20. :T

I really wish i had found out about them sooner as i would have got them to make my wifes engagement ring instead of paying the stupid amount i did in the london jewelry quater.

Hi, i got my (soon to be) wedding ring from betts metals. Myself and my fiance went and looked all around the jewelery quarter for a day and they came up best for mine (palladium, 5mm band with groove and brushed finish) and was £185 ish delivered. Other prices while looking around the JQ were like 3-400 for similar ring. Im very happy with the service they gave, as long as you know what u are after (i didnt when i went in to the counter) you will save plenty there.

We ordered out rings (2 x 18ct gold - one 2mm and one 6mm) and they were delivered 24 hours later. So pleased with them and we saved about £600 going with Betts Metals! Sales staff were really helpful too. I would highly recommend them!

Just had our palladium rings delivered from Betts Metals. They are fantastic. Saved somewhere in the region of £550-£600 on the pair. A fantastic service, can't fault it. Bought a ring box from eBay for £10, and the whole assembly looks amazing.

Glad you liked you rings. We have happily been wearing ours for 6 months now :-) We saved so much going with Betts Metals!

signed up as a hobbyist and got them mega cheap!
platinum band and a palladium band both engraved came to 550!
