Last night i went shopping and went into a well known shop, bought a belt for my son for 6.99. but my other son want the same belt, they didn't have any left in that store, so this morning i went to the same shop but in a different area and was charged 12.99.
It was only when i went back to the car and looked at the other belt that i noticed the price differance, i went back to the store and told them about the price differace there excuse was,
Because the buyer has to shop around for the items and they pay different prices for them that why they have different prices for things
I also picked up to t shirts the same only if different colour to different prices one was 12.99 the other was 25.00
surley this can't be right

If the price was clearly marked I can't see why the shop is at fault. Caveat empore and all that.
All you had to do was to take the higher price item back say it was faulty get your money back then go and buy the cheaper item.0 -
i wanted both items so i had to take it, but it should be the same price surely,
I will be checking up on this when everything gets back to normal
IF you went to your local supermarket and picked up a tin of beans, then went to another same supermarket you would expect to pick the beans up at the same price surely0 -

Tesco extra and Tesco Metro charge different prices for the same items - its to do with running costs of the store.0 -

You seem a bit naive in terms of MSE (and so was I before this forum opened my eyes). Supermarkets do charge different prices in different stores, I'm going to do a price comparison about the Co-op for example, because myself and other posters think they charge different prices in our respective local stores.
