Anyone invested in Carbon Credits can help?

I was contacted by two brokerage companies selling carbon credits (voluntary type)
any expert in this field, is it descent and genuine or just another scam!
What worried me is that two companies were so keen to get me on board that they were so flexible with minimum investments
Also found so many negative news about carbon credits loosing values, but the two companies insisted that the loosing credit was the compulsary one not the voluntary one>
Any advise?

Investment cold calling is illegal.
